David Longano

Senior Associate

David is a Senior Associate at Angela Sdrinis Legal and practises exclusively in the area of Institutional Historical Abuse. Since joining the firm in February 2018, he has represented survivors of abuse, advocating for their rights, and helping them navigate complex legal processes with diligence, and determination.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Monash University, majoring in Criminology. His honours thesis focused on sexual assault, reflecting a longstanding academic and professional interest in issues affecting survivors of abuse. He went on to complete his Bachelor of Laws in 2017 and was admitted to legal practice in April 2019.

Over the course of his career, David has acted for numerous survivors in claims against a broad range of institutions, including religious organisations, schools, government departments, and other entities. He has developed significant experience in historical abuse litigation and is committed to achieving meaningful outcomes for his clients.

As a Senior Associate, David leads the firm's Institutional Historical Abuse practice while continuing to maintain a strong focus on client advocacy.

David is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Australian Lawyers Alliance.
